There is a village built on the slope of a mountain, namely, Shiare (The Hanging Village). I visited the village for the first time recently, tagging along with Ishmael Lamptey, a fellow YouTuber, who’s leading a project to help solve the water challenge faced in the community.

The goal of the visit was to test out a prototype setup of a Ram Pump, which would offer a simple pump machine mechanism to send water from their current source up to the village area, and hopefully into the homes.

Working, this solution will offer a cost-effective way to provide water to the community, without the need for long daily trek through the winding, paths to the water source.
